Create a folder called OS on your hard drive (C: is used in this example). In this folder create two sub-folder called BOOT, and ROOT. |
Copy the entire Windows 2000/XP/2003 CD (or extract the ISO) into folder ROOT. |

Note: This section is required. |
1.) Download boot file. (poweriso-bootfiles-from-tacktech-website.zip ~1.33KB) 2.) Extract the BootSector file (boot.bif) from poweriso-bootfiles-from-tacktech-website.zip into the folder C:\OS\BOOT |
Using PowerISO |

Start PowerISO. Select Action > Boot > Add Boot Information... from the menu. |
Press the ... button. |
Locate the BootSector file (boot.bif) in the folder C:\OS\BOOT. Click the Open button. |
Press the OK button. |
Select File > Image Properties... from the menu. |
Click the More... button. |
Enter the Volume Label into the Volume Set ID: text box. - View Windows 2000 CD Labels (TTID# 269) - View Windows XP SP0 CD Labels (TTID#226) - View Windows XP SP1 CD Labels (TTID#283) - View Windows XP SP1a CD Labels (TTID#312) - View Windows XP SP2 CD Labels (TTID#342) - View Windows XP SP3 CD Labels (TTID#422) - View Windows 2003 Server RTM CD Labels (TTID#292) - View Windows 2003 Server SP1 CD Labels (TTID#355) - View Windows 2003 Server R2 Disc Labels (TTID#387) Enter in the Publisher ID:, Data Preparer ID:, Application ID: text boxes. Click the OK button. |
1.) Enter the Volume Label into the Label: text box. 2.) Check the Enable file optimization checkbox. 3.) Check the Joliet checkbox under CD/DVD File System. 4.) Select the Standard(30) option under ISO9660 file name:. 5.) Select the Long(110) option under Joliet file name:. 6.) Click on the OK button. |
1.) Locate the folder C:\OS\ROOT. 2.) Select everything in the ROOT folder. Note: Some files are not show in the following image. 3.) Drag the selected files to the right pane of PowerISO. |
Select File > Save As... from the menu. |
1.) Select Standard ISO Images (*.iso) from the Save as type combobox. 2.) Type a file name in the File name textbox. 3.) Click the Save button. |
Wait for the Image File to finish saving. |
Process complete. You're done. |
