Panasonic has always set the bar high when it comes to TV picture quality, though sometimes the design of its plasma screens has been more fuddy-duddy than fashionable. But the new models spotted at CES really do look sleek, with a single sheet glass front and thin metal bezel. Image quality on the brand’s new 50-inch VT50 flagship is outstanding and its 3D performance is a wow. Taken online, the set can stream movies, catch up with BBC iPlayer or download apps from the VIERA Connect Market. Expect to see it in the UK around April.
